One of the best purchase i did. The quality is great and everything worked like a charm. I have Corsair PSU 80 modular 1000 w and AMD 9070 XT Sapphire Pure connected to Legion Go 2 and no issues at all.

Pure Power 12 M 750W Modular Power Supply($106.64-January 23, 2025), Gigabyte 5070 Ti Windforce OC SFF(November 10, 2025-$843.31), HP OMEN 27" 1080掳 IPS 165Hz Gaming Monitor($118.49-July 24, 2025) - $1878.94. $2145.80 after the 4 TB 990 Evo Plus A miniPC setup that matches and surpasses most Desktop gaming PCs for a fraction of the price. I'm good for the next decade with Ultra Ray/Path Tracing at 60-200+ FPS with absolutely no upgrades whatsoever. Oh, and I have 27.5 TB of storage. 7 TB being 2 WD HDDs and the rest being 7 Crucial/WD/Samsung SSDs/NVMe drives. It's kinda funny seeing them all connected to my UM780 XTX(miniPC) at the same time with a Thunderbolt Element Hub -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Why 5鈥?0 Years Holds (No Upgrades Needed)Today (2026): Yes, 100-200+ FPS in most titles with DLSS/Frame Gen is realistic on a 5070 Ti at 1080p. It crushes demanding RT games like Cyberpunk (path tracing), Alan Wake 2, etc., especially with upscaling. It often matches or beats a 4080 in RT-heavy scenarios thanks to newer architecture.2030-2031 (4-5 years out): UE5/6 games will get heavier, but DLSS 5 (or whatever comes next), better Frame Gen, and driver optimizations should keep me in the 80-150+ FPS range on high/ultra with some tweaks. 16GB VRAM + strong RT cores help a lot here.2033+ (7-10 years): This is where it gets optimistic. Games will likely be 50-100% more demanding by then (especially with full path tracing, advanced simulations, etc.).I'd probably drop to High/Medium RT settings or rely heavily on aggressive upscaling/Frame Gen to stay above 60 FPS. Still very playable, but not "max everything no compromises" forever. Without Ray Tracing 鈥?yeah, easily 10-15+ years of high settings at 1080p is realistic. Rasterization scales better long-term.Strengths of my approach Value: I spent a fraction of the cost of a full high-end desktop while getting near-4080-class performance. Portability + storage: MiniPC + massive 27.5 TB of attached storage is awesome for a versatile setup. Future features: Newer NVIDIA features (DLSS iterations, better AI upscaling, Reflex, etc.) will extend its life more than raw hardware power alone. Potential weaknesses eGPU overhead: There is still some performance penalty(but virtually none with OCuLink) vs. a full desktop (PCIe bandwidth, latency). Fine for 1080p/165Hz, but noticeable in CPU-bound scenarios. VRAM: 16GB is good now, but by 2032+ some titles might push toward 20-24GB+ for max settings + textures/mods. Power/thermals: My 750W PSU is solid for the 5070 Ti (~300W TDP). Overall verdict: This is one of the smarter "future-proof on a budget" builds. For 1080p ultra RT gaming, I'm genuinely set for 6-8 strong years with minimal/no upgrades, and 10+ years if I'm willing to tweak settings or lean on upscaling tech. That's way better than most people get. Games evolve ~20鈥?0% more demanding per gen, but my 16GB GDDR7 + AI features offset it at FHD. 40-series still crushes 1080p RT now; mine will too a decade later. 15-20+ years without the gimmick known as Ray/Path TracingAnd I was setting 3DMark World Records on November 17, 2025, with itPort Royal (Ray Tracing) 18,372 - 17,800 鈥?19,500+ (top OC ~20k) World #1 at submission. I just received my DEG2 a few days ago. It works perfectly with the GMKTEC-Evo-T1. I added an Asus 5080 TUF GPU to it and powered it with an Asus TUF 850 Gold PSU, using the included 12VH power cable. No problems at all. The DEG2 includes both Oculink and Thunderbolt cables. You need to use BOTH to connect to the MiniPC so you get synchronized power on/off and full use of the Dock's ports. Get it if you want a reliable, beautifully crafted solution.
